The Club Nine Bridges
The Club Nine Bridges is the Korea's No.1 golf course, which is also one of the top 100 courses in the world.
Despite having to pay an annual fee of 5 million won per year after purchasing a membership, it is difficult to sign up as the waiting list for membership reaches over 100 people, and name transfers through membership exchanges are not allowed.
To play a round at Nine Bridges, you must 1) be accompanied by a member or 2) use the Invitation Pass, which is given to members 4 times a year (1 flight per a time).
When I worked for, a relatively higher number of member recommendations was guaranteed, but as the member reservation rate increased both on weekdays and weekends due to the large-scale investment of CJ Group and the hosting of the PGA CJ Cup, the system was changed to protect member rights.
Pinx
Since its opening, Pinx Golf Club has been selected as one of the top 100 courses in the world (excluding the United States), has consistently ranked 1st and 2nd in many course rankings, and has established itself as the best platinum golf course in Korea with the enormous investment of SK Group.
Pinx is also a very private golf course
But unlike Nine Bridges which has 18 holes and charges an annual membership fee, it is a large 27-hole course with many hotels and resorts. As SK Group has many high-quality affiliates, including SK Hynix, it registers key executives of each affiliate as members, so there are relatively more ways to raise money.
To summarize, in order to play a round at Pinx GC, you can only 1) accompany a member, 2) be recommended by an SK executive, or 3) hold a corporate seminar that includes golf, lodging, and meetings at the same time only on weekdays.
